Najo Arts was created back in 1991 by artist Joni Haws and her daughter Nancy. Joni, already a successful artist, departed from her traditional style to add a new contemporary portraiture style to her works. The simple, flat-line, stylistic images are what define Najo Arts. Combining their names, Nancy and Joni, they created the signature, NaJo. Business began in St. George, Utah. The business has since grown to include all of Joni.s works in traditional styles, including paintings, landscapes, seascapes, still life, portraits and murals.

Joni has been a selling artist for over 40 years. She comes from a family of artists. Her father was a commercial artist and teacher. Her father's brother and sister were also artists. Joni has become proficient in many styles, mediums and techniques. She has a unique (no black) color wheel that she has designed, registered and copyrighted. Other unpublished trade secrets include her toning and texturing under transparent colors which minimizes the use of a lot of white, chalky, coloring in much of her highlights. From this site Joni has featured just a sampling of what she has produced. Browse her galleries of flowers, landscapes, seascapes, still-life, murals and much more. Many of the originals that have already sold are available as reproductions or re-paints. You can select the size that best suits your space and needs.
